Tournament Exhibition Games
GAME DAY: Saturday, April 26th, 2008
Game 1: (6:00 pm) Women's Soccer: Palm Beach United (PBU) vs. Palm Beach Ambassadors (PBA) (Show Details...)
PBU plays in the Women's Premier Soccer League. The players are alumni of several major university teams including FSU, Lynn University, FAU, University of Miami and Clemson. PBU is lead by Stacy Wilson, a former University of North Carolina alumnus and a member of the USA Olympic team in 1996. The team is coached by Brad Partridge
PBA is an all star team that includes players from local college teams including Northwood University, Flagler College, Nova University. The team includes Israel national team goalkeeper Didi, Swedish international player Sophia Abramson and former Palm Beach S occer Academy alumni Missy Mconnair, Courtney Murphy, and Laura Guild. The team is coached by former West Ham player, Derek Byles.
Game 2: (7:30 pm) Men's Soccer: The Galleons (TG) vs. Palm Beach Ambassadors (PBA) (Show Details...)
The Galleons are the semi professional team based in Port St Lucie. The team plays in the Florida Elite Soccer League. Players include former MLS standouts Pete Marino, and Andre Paz. The Galleons are coached by Gerry Queen, a former Scottish international player.
The Palm Beach Ambassadors are a select team featuring former English Premiership players such as Andy May and Ian Bishop. The team also includes former Miami Fusion captain and former Jamaican national team player, Andrew Courtney as well as college standouts from Northwood University and Lynn.
Both games are played at Burns Rd, Klock fields. Admission is free.
